Warranty Period
In accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act, all products purchased from Opposite Lock come with a minimum warranty of 6 months. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and issues arising under normal use.
Returns Process
To ensure a smooth return process, please follow these steps:
Return Request: You must notify us of any return request within the warranty period (6 months from the date of purchase).
Receipt Submission: A copy of the original purchase receipt is required for all returns and warranty claims. This ensures we can verify your purchase and expedite the process.
Product Condition: If the product is damaged, please return it in its original condition (if possible), along with a clear description of the issue or fault. This will help us assess the product and determine if it qualifies for a replacement, repair, or refund.
Return Method: Send the damaged product, along with your receipt and the issue description, to the store where the product was originally purchased or to our customer service department as instructed.
Stolen Products
In the case of a stolen product, a valid receipt must be provided to qualify for a replacement. Without proof of purchase, we cannot offer a replacement or refund.
Exclusions
The following conditions are not covered under warranty:
Damage caused by misuse or neglect.
Wear and tear from normal use (e.g., parts that naturally degrade over time, such as rubber seals).
Any modifications or repairs done by third parties without authorisation from Opposite Lock.
Refunds and Replacements
Once we have received the damaged product and verified the claim:
If the product is deemed defective, we will either repair the product, replace it with a new one, or provide a full refund, at our discretion.
Refunds and replacements are only processed once the return process has been completed and the product has been assessed by our team.
